Of course the machine in which the power supply failed is a P3 and I am running obscure software on it. (Linux!) Surprisingly it did compile a new kernel successfully without puking.

LOL, did a search and the Yahoo article covering the P3 1.13Ghz not compiling a Linux kernel has expired, but I still have the quote: ``I don't think we did as good a job as we might in that we overlooked a few obscure applications,'' said Barrett.
