I have to agree with you. Transmeta has a very small percentage of the market (maybe 1%?), and VIA is not a whole lot better, if that much. Now VIA might do better in the future, their small form factor MB looks nice for certain applications, but they are not a whole lot cheaper than equivalently performing Durons or Celerons. So they don't even have the ultra-cheap Asian market...

JC, well Via is ramping steeply now and they are strong in the very low cost countries like China etc.
So a third, well, that is also a rough amount. If AMD does well this quaarter it may well make 35%.
Good idea to see if some comments can be elicited from Via on what they are making in CPUs, speed/volume? They may want to keep that quiet....grist for Intel lawyers mill you know.
