I had a more difficult time picking two stocks this year than any previous time that we have run this contest. A lot of beaten down stocks have already recovered and I don't think that they will appreciate significantly in January. My gut tells me that unless somebody gets really lucky, a 30% return will win this year. With that backdrop, my picks are SPWX and LRCX. I almost went with NUAN instead of SPWX in the speech recognition sector, but SPWX has better relative strength and may perform better in the short term. My targets for SPWX and LRCX are 15 to 18 and 30 to 33 respectively. Good luck to everyone, and thanks to Paul for volunteering his time to run the contest. Dan
