OK. He and they were lying. Hardly the first time a Prexy has lied about his budget.

The question was more to, "what's the lie?". Now that you've said it was a lie, answering "what's the lie?" should be pretty easy.

You did get something for it, though. His spending bankrupted the USSR

US spending doesn't bankrupt the USSR. You have to have a corresponding increase in spending in the USSR. Got the numbers on the Federal Soviet outlays for let's say the period of 1975-1985?

Re the dodge: Look, I'm not the one who wrote the 200-page post. It did take me 200 pages to answer it, though. Hardly surprising?

Wow! I didn't realize I was such a prolific writer. Sorry. I'll keep my posts to one page in the future.

Re the dodge: .....Shall I just ignore your long posts in the future?

I'm not going to suggest what you shouldn't or shouldn't do. There are a good number of my posts that you never responded to. It's not something that I appreciate, but I accept it. I believe that my response record is better than yours. So if you're going to throw out accusations of "dodging" you should expect that I'll respond with "the kettle calling the pot black?"
