Re. "Curdled Milk"

The quote in question:

------------------------------------------------------------

Soon after the African bombings, the computer files show al Qaeda embarking on potentially its most
deadly project: the "curdled milk" biological- and chemical-warfare program. A memo written in April
1999, apparently by Dr. Zawahri, notes that "the destructive power of these weapons is no less than
that of nuclear weapons."

------------------------------------------------------------

Clearly, in the minds of these people any "Kafir", particularly Americans or Israelis, have been "dehumanized." Imo, this fact alone makes their brand of Islam as deeply pernicious as National Socialism. This computer disk makes utterly clear the nature of the enemy faced by the US. If there were any doubts, there can be none now. These individuals contemplate total and unrestricted warfare, with civilians and commerce as prime targets. Against such an enemy the only remedy is complete destruction. There can be no sympathy for such a philosophy masking itself with "legitimate grievences." It is a matter of survival now.

wasn't this story incredible? just goes to show how good reporters, poking around and eventually getting really lucky, can come up with amazing stuff.... this may be the biggest intelligence find we'll ever have on al Qaeda, and it was totally (or almost totally) by chance...
