Wells Fargo cuts AFCO due to valuation
--2:46pm - By Michael Baron
Applied Film Corp. (AFCO) is off $4.45, or 13.9 percent, to $27.55, after Wells Fargo Securities LLC slashed its rating on shares of the Longmont, Colo., provider of thin film deposition equipment to "market perform" from "strong buy" and lowered its earnings expectations. However, the firm did raise its 12-month price target on the stock to $33 from $29 citing an effort to value the shares on their 2003 potential. The firm cited valuation for the downgrade, saying that at their Friday closing price of $32, the shares seemed fully-valued.
