"A more interesting question is how much of the diamond industry profits go to fund Israeli terrorism on the Palestinains?"

Much like killing and theft in Christianity and Islam, it is not permitted according to Torah, so it is not condoned...next question?

Diamonds are are a smuggler's best friend.

Lets call them Settler's diamonds

Re: A more interesting question is how much of the diamond industry profits go to fund Israeli terrorism on the Palestinians?

Sure but the point is that I favor a deeper US involvement in Africa, especially Central Africa --by hook or by crook.... Today, there's a splendid window of opportunity for the US to put the squeeze on that region --again, for the sake of the natives.

I still cling to my (first) pet conspiracy and claim that a rogue French outfit (Front National's DPS + Corsican-Israeli-Serb connection) was responsible for the bombing of two US embassies in East Africa in 1998 (Dar es Salaam & Nairobi). Remember, the simultaneous bombing of the US embassies occurred only 6 months after Prez Bill Clinton's landmark tour in Central Africa --right inside France's colonial turf.

Moreover, the "terrorist spin" will make it easier for the US administration to sell its "meddling into Africa" to US public opinion --who knows, maybe Bin Laden is hiding somewhere in the Congolese jungle?? <g>
