Intel's ASPs will probably improve marginally. They stated that they would be above the midpoint of the forecast, which was one percentage point below their third quarter numbers. Reports have said that Celeron volumes are lower with respect to Pentium 4, so that would tend to raise ASPs. As for AMD, like I said, they are making the best out of Intel shortages. They can charge higher prices because demand is high. If volumes are equally high, then AMD will end up with a great quarter. Both things could easily change going into next quarter, however. With less competitive performance, and no shortfalls from Intel to latch on to, next quarter could be very bad for AMD.
