I hope so too. But I see no signs now of movement in that direction. Perhaps eventual successful prosecution of the war of terror on past Afghanistan to the extent of removing the supports (Pakistani intelligence and Saudi) for terrorist organizations will remove some of the heat and allow an improved outlook.

It won't be enough without taking out Iraq. If Saddam goes, then the Mideast will know that we actually mean business.
