Great feedback, Art, thank you. <Someone with large hands [I do] should also avoid the new Nikon 5000, which as its exposure meter placed in such a way that a person with large fingers could block the meter.> I've been called ham-handed, on more than one occasion. Seriously, intuitive and easy placement of hands and fingers is important. If you have to think each time you grab your camera for a shot how it has to be held, you may be losing shots.

Seems as though you and Aus favor the Canons and Olympus. I am going to focus on those over the next couple of weeks, as well as understand the peripherals and software I'll need. I remember there being quite a bit of discussion a while back about the Adobe Photoshot software.
