Earlie,
Some of the young guys at work seem to think that I know about the market;;;; so the other day they asked me if I thought that the bear was done....My most poingniant point, (I thought) to them was that at a normal bottom , no one was pointing UP. A day later, to illustate this to me , I received a letter from my sister with some old memorabillia in it. One thing was a clipping from an old newspaper interview that I had near the end of the mid seventies bear. At the time I was out of the business. Here it is-----

Too depressing..."

Russell Barnes was on the trading floor for almost 12 years. Then his company folded. Another victim of last year's crunch.
" I couldn't believe it last summer-- Especially at my office. There was this gloom. A lot of people were talking about leaving the business. They figured it was all finished. I wanted to get out anyway. The computers were coming in and , although being a trader was once a respected job, it isn't now."
So what is Russell Barnes , 33 years old doing now?
He's working part time for his Father in Law, who runs a piano store:
" I have to admit it. The exciting part of the street is addictive. If I passed by the Exchange now... Yeah, I guess I would walk in.
"Yeah...."
