I do not understand your consternation.

If you are looking to continue an argument over whether or not atheists can be conservatives, your choice of jumping in points is a poor one.

I am with Thomas Paine on the issue, in that a belief in divine order was all the religion that need be demanded of free people.

Lazurus, I will vouch for you. You certainly are not a liberal. If you are an Atheist you are conservative atheist which is OK by me. In a diverse world there is room for God believers and atheists and conservatives and liberals but no room for any of these that will not accept the validity or correctness of the others.
