That's why some of us feel we oughta get a vote in all this too... <g/ng>

So the retaliatory plans of the largest economic and military power on the planet today should rest upon a nation less than 1/10th its size in population (Canada)?? Wouldn't that be a tyranny of the minority?

And you know something else... Look at the conflict in Pakistan and India... Look at how relatively "helpless" the US is in forcing those two nations to stop fighting. We aren't getting much of a "vote" there... We're having to plead and beg, citing how it will "affect" our own "war on terror" as an argument. Do we really think they care about our "WOT", when they are fighting their own which they been gearing up for since their last war?

Nahh.... They are both using Kashmir for their own political purposes, high stakes politics.. India is fully prepared to go to war, I believe, since they feel it's inevitable anyway, and they would rather do it now while Pakistan is weakened and in disarray. But I think they would rather avoid it too. But they want the Kashmir issue resolved, and the LOC replaced by a sovereign border. So they bluster and threaten, and we really don't know whether they are serious or not (because even they don't really know, imo).

But we really don't have much of a "vote".

Most of the major wars we have become involved over the past century have been because we didn't get much of a "vote" either.

So listen.. We Americans can sympathize..<gg>

But of course, should your nation become willing to bear the cost, financial and human, of fighting this war, I would certainly be willing to provide you all the "votes" you want... :0)
