Gord, think about picking suf.to for Al's 2002 contest - #Subject-52183 ... last day today for picks ... you can change at the ends of months, go to cash, short, whatever ... minimum shareprice is one loonie though, so all my fave picks are disallowed, lol ... i thought about suf.to ... also bay.to, swg.to, couple of others, but didn't want to copy anybody [those were already taken], so i picked ric.to, which i don't even hold, yet ... still thinking of changing to suf.to, but picks are not exclusive to a single entrant in that contest, so go for it if you like ... happy new year all .... cheers

[edit] - invitation applies to all ... Al's contests become great centres of eclectic discussion, lotsa fun ... getcher picks in there quick

<close look at SUF.TO Southernera Resources>

Yep, this one has all the sleepy characteristics with explosive potential that I look for. PGMs are all over the map, but have been sneaky strong of late, but little action in the stocks. I also added to ARQ yesterday at 50. SUF is surprisingly tough to buy for a mid tier, as I've had a stinky bid in for three weeks. Finally got a buy off at 2.62, and have another in at 2.60. I'll just average in as long as they give it away in here.

On January 1st, I suggested that value investors might want to take a close look at SUF.TO, Southernera Resources.

SUF was trading under CAN$3.00 at the time.

Time to have another look.

By the end of this quarter the Klipspringer diamond mine should be in full production.

By the end of the 3rd quarter the Messina Platinum mine should be in production.

Feasibility on Phase II production for Messina should be completed this quarter.

Drilling results are due on the newly aquired Millennium Platinum Property.

And most significantly, today a peace treaty has been signed in Angola. SUF has a carried interest in the Camafuca Diamondiferous Kimberlite Pipe. Camafuca is one of the largest kimberlite pipes in the world. A feasibility study has been completed and approved by the partners.

The mining plan is very simple. A cutting head dredge is used to mine the pipe. The ore is processed and the diamonds are separated from the ore.

More dredges and processing plants can be added sequentually.

SUF news may be obtained here.
