Mish, Are you looking at large cap oil/gas?
Energy and oil/gas is not a bad idea given the events around the world.

Calpine types may not be bad because
1. they are beaten up
2. defensive against world events like Afgan/Pakistan/Argentina.
This is just one example; I would look to many others too.

Maybe these can serve as a good hedge against long tech positions.

However, on a weak open, I would think many techs will be bought up as there is a lot of skepticism about tech valuations. Even saw a Janus Fund 2 manager say that they are looking for better prices.
