Hi Jane!

Well, the families from two of my son's teammates, along with another family ate together for to ring in the New Year. It was an early thing, because there were so many little boys and girls there.

About 9p, the parents celebrated the New Year, which I have no problem with, but they said it was Midnight, and it wasn't.

My son is really into telling time right now. Tonight, he read his watch every few minutes! It was cute!

Later, I said, "we celebrated early, because you really need your sleep." I prefer to tell him what is going on.

Of the three other families, two of the Father's and one of the Mother's is an Attorney. I feel that they can tell their sons the truth.

That may seem minor, but to me it is important!

By the way, that morning, on "Little Bear," the animal characters, and especially the parents got tired before Midnight, but they realized it was early.

I will get off my bandwagon now! :)

Another parenting story:

My son gets really upset when little girls tease him. He is so serious, and although he has a great personality and sense of humor, he is sensitive and really prefers that little girls do not call him names.

He is very cute, and I think there are some little girls who think so. :) I say that because, I am his parent! I was stopped recently by another parent who said said that he was cute, and always dressed so well. Actually, I am more concerned with his character, and him personally, but that was nice!

It bugs him, so we discussed it. Tonight, I said, "you know when you are young and girls call you names, a lot of times, it means that they want attention, and they have a crush on you." It is so funny to come from the opposite end of this, and I really saw this with my little brother. Hello. He is going to get this, with me as his parent. I advised teens for many years!

I am sure you see more of this, as you have two sons, and two daughters.

Any advice?
