ISO, I don't have too much time to watch so many threads. I check out maybe 5 or 6 tops on SI.

I think most of those I've been reading are pragmatic and not attempting to do much besides trade the trend. That involves an opinion on the current trend, of course, which has been difficult to read lately.

I'm of the opinion that we're in a box between 1918 and 2012 COMP right now, and until we break either of those numbers on volume, we're just going to tread water and frustrate lots of bulls and bears.

There is a bit of similarity between the current situation and the end of November, when we had such a hard time at 1934-1941. Maybe this time it goes the other way. I'm watching and waiting, with some QQQ Jan. 40 calls in case this blows up. We may need to drop to 1918 to get shorts overly confident, double bottom and rise quickly above 2012 on a massive short-covering rally.

Otherwise I'm just as ready for a H&S on the indices to reveal itself soon, although I think the end of January / early February is a better time for that, BWDIK.

Good trading!
