wstera, maybe I read this article to quickly, but I didn't see the negativism in it like all the rest. It doesn't look like the world is coming to an end and syl have to explain to his maker why he ridiciules Him.

Anyone having trouble with SI charts today besides me?

Pile of Cash Ready to go into the Stock Market:
The info re $ in the Money Market and CDs is correct, and has been helping the Stock Market to rally since Sept 21st. The part about Money Mgrs having loads of cash is not really accurate though. Re Mutual Fund cash positions, in all prior recessions since 1970, Stock Funds had at least 10% cash at bear market bottoms; in 74, 82 and 90, the cash level peaked between 12% and 13%. Recently, I believe the figure was approx 5.6%, not far from the "floor" of 4%. Yes, there's cash coming in from the money market, but not a large ave cash position in stock funds.
