Why anyone would want to burn (melt) their CDs is a mystery to me....

For the same reason people shred paper documents...

LOL! Reminds me of this ad for a "hands-free" cell phone kit: funphone.com. I guess it all depends on whether the actual advertising would be misleading to a "reasonable" person. If the company you cite is legit, and they really do feel there is a market for melting CDs (like one would shred a document), then I would think they'd offer enough details so this is clear so as to avoid inevitable returns and complaints from those who might somehow confuse the meaning of "burn". If they do not, I'd think they were truly trying to pull a fast one, although for $19.95 they'd probably be able to legally claim a reasonable person would not expect a "conventional" CD burner for such a low price.
