Ted, poli kala, efharisto. I meant Greece has 50% the per capita income the US has ( not Germany ). Greece used to have very high inflation ( 10-20% ). It's now in line with other EU contries at around 2-4%. Production costs are low since salaries are low. Unemployment is kind of high and 50% of the working force is working in the goverment sector which sucks.

Charles, thank you is spelled efharisto??!!! My first reaction was that it couldn't be because English doesn't have the fh combo but then I realized it is definitely phonetic. But you guys use the same alphabet as the Russians..right?

Thanks for the clarification of the per capita income issue.......that makes more sense. I equate Greece, Spain, Ireland et al with the American South of 50 years ago. Greece could do much with its lower production costs. Spain and Ireland already have and Italy is trying but good pizza and pasta keep getting in the way. ;~))

Europe has been one of AMD's most important customers. With the EU firmly in place, do you think that will continue?
