I would suspect the vast population just wants a reasonable meal at a decent price The "vast population" has been eating flavorless Winn Dixie tomatoes for so long they wouldn't know a good meal if the Iron Chef himself pounded it down their throat with a Kawasaki power-plunger. I'll concede our produce does look pretty - piled up in shiny symmetric bunches - in a waxy, genetically enhanced kind of way - but I am perpetually embarrassed at the sheer tastelessness of our Mass Quantities. The wealthiest nation on the face of the planet should be able to do better than this...
