Although the price decline has gradually eased with the launch of the new Athlon XP, it may not last for long, especially as Intel will soon shift production to the 0.13-micron process and price-cutting still remains one of the primary marketing strategies.

Tench, you realize that if AMD has falling ASPs and plan to hit in excess of $660 million in Q401, that means they sold more than 11 million units? If that is the case, then either the market was much, much larger than anyone guessed, or Intel's market share is well under 70%...
