(SFTY), which specializes in serving the critical environment and personal care markets and provides consulting and support services to emerging companies, announced that it has canceled a hearing scheduled before a Nasdaq Listing Qualifications Panel on December 13, 2001 to appeal a Nasdaq Staff determination to de-list eSAFETYWORLD's common stock from The Nasdaq Stock Market. As a result, eSAFETYWORLD's common stock will be de-listed from The Nasdaq Stock Market effective as of December 13, 2001. eSAFETYWORLD intends to have an application for quotation of its common stock filed with the NASD's OTC Electronic Bulletin Board as soon as possible. Until such application is approved, eSAFETYWORLD's common stock may trade on the pinksheets.com. There can be no assurance that the Company's common stock will be accepted for quotation or trading on either of these quotation systems. The Company is confident that, given all the relevant facts and circumstances, it should have prevailed at the hearing based on the merits. However, the additional time that would be required for the hearing process and possible appeals, combined with its shares having not traded for over seven weeks, would likely have resulted in further illiquidity and hardship for its stockholders for an unacceptably long period. Accordingly, in order to allow its stock to start trading again as soon as possible, the Company decided to forego its Nasdaq listing. This should not be interpreted in any way as an admission that any of the Nasdaq Staff's non-technical allegations are true or accurate.
