If AMD did have a yield problem they would have to announce such a material fact, but doing well, does not need announcing early. Thus I conclude Elmer is not correct.

Now Bill, you know very well AMD already prepared you for a loss. And it wouldn't be the first time AMD sprung news on you at the earnings(ha!) release. Remember when Jerry told you the K6 yield problems were all fixed and then admitted he had lied to you and the yield problems were still there, and AMD took deep losses? AMD doesn't need to admit anything at all. They just announce losses as expected, promise good times are just around the corner and you'll believe it just like you always do. Meanwhile NiceGuy will pop his cork and insist AMD is !!!!headed for the moon!!!! while he loses yet another fortune. Sad but true....

EP
