<Until you see the creation of some "supra-national" corporate entity possessing more power and authority than the largest nation/state (ala Blade Runner, or RoboCop), trusted enough to back up their promise to redeem that specific currency, it would be like playing Russian Roulette with the nest egg.>

Hawk, I already own the corporate entities. Uncle Al's $ has much less power and authority than shares I currently own. The shares' earning potential is a function of consumer desire, which I trust a lot more than politician promises. Uncle Al's interest rates are a function of $$ holder's mystical belief in the stability of a currency backed by the monopolistic hopes of the Fed.

I'm now just waiting for the transaction costs and ease of transaction to improve. They are improving each year.

They have already fled the US$ and all other major currencies. They don't think it's false safety.

I am discussing making their share transactions very simple and in small units in mobile cyberspace.

If the US$ is abandoned, that is a major thing in US foreign affairs, so I don't think it's too off topic.
