(COMTEX) A: Search On For Peter Pan Boy

Jan 03, 2002 (WENN via COMTEX) -- A global search is underway to hunt down the
ideal young man to play the role of PETER PAN in a major motion picture.

The movie will follow playwrite JAMES M BARRIE's original vision of the
enchanting fairy tale about a boy who would not grow up, and is being directed
by MY BEST FRIEND'S WEDDING director PJ HOGAN.

Producer DOUG WICK explains, "We'll be looking for a boy on the edge of manhood
to play Peter Pan." The search will be conducted in America, Australia and
Britain.

The film rights to the beloved tale have been bouncing around for years. Barrie
left the work to a children's hospital in London and its rights moved from one
Hollywood entity to another for years.

PRINCESS DIANA's love DODI FAYED secured the rights and was to have made the
film at TRISTAR with Wick's wife LUCY FISHER. Fisher is now delighted to be
bringing the story to life at last. (SVD/LA/IG)
