Dear Michael: I wish every American could understand EXACTLY what Daschle has done to block legislation in the Senate. Normally it takes 60 votes to overcome a Filibuster. Our forefathers felt that would be sufficient to represent the will of the people. However Daschle is requiring a 2/3 majority of DEMOCRAT Senators ONLY to bring a measure to the floor. That means for a bill to actually pass it requires 82 VOTES. That is the DASCHLE veto. It is very dangerous, as we are now learning, to allow the country to be run on the WHIMS of ONE PERSON. The fact this guy cares ONLY about the Democrat party is even worse. I dont understand why the media isnt ALL OVER THIS. Whether you are a conservative or a liberal this is BAD GOVERNMENT. JDN
