JC, I have been searching for the Lord and never knew that he was hiding right here on SI. Your first paragraph is a mantra that all humans should heed. As for faith being the guide I am more a believer that a balance is needed, because sometimes blind faith without reason can end up with awful results ie Nazi Germany, the Germans are good people unfortunately they blindly followed a mad man. But in any case your post was wonderful and I really appreciate it especially among some of the rubble I see here
