Herb, >You keep working the wrong side of the street.

Looks like it’s going to be a big day for Intel.

Keep trying Dan

Between Niceguy, and many more on the AMD thread, and Dan here, an observer that just dropped in from another planet could conclude that Intel is going out of business.

RE:"What’s interesting is that the difference in price is apparently at least partially based on the difference in the price of the processor and based on today’s Pricewatch Intel gets $157 more for the P4 chip. In other words Dan Intel gets $157 more than AMD for each system sold. Intel makes money, Dan; AMD will have a loss this quarter"

RE:"Athlon XP -1900 $1495. 99
Pentium 4 2 -GHz $1744.99."

Which box do you think Compaq makes more money on?
Which one does COmpaq get advertizing assistance on?

Jim

"Intel makes money, Dan; AMD will have a loss this quarter."

Are you talking about Q401 or Q102? If the latter, let's just say "maybe".
