dont think so

I don't believe that Opie has been nominated for an Oscar. They usually reserve that for good Directors.

(Somehow Coppola, Scorcese, and Opie doesn't quite sound right...)

I have read somewhere, but can't confirm, that he remarried his first wife last year. here is the best on line Bio I have found.
