Cisco could easily test $22 on positive Merrill IT research report that said that IT spending will increase and CSCO and MSFT will be 2 big companies to benefit.

This is the time to buy the quality names. Lots of people have confidence to get back into tech today because of the Intel's positive action.

I think a lot of people are starting to get afraid of missing the rally, especially in tech. I am already in tech bigtime, but getting ready to take some profits and get back into drugs and biotechs like MDT, ESRX, MLNM, etc.
I love tech long term, but Biotech names are getting pretty cheap here too.

Let's see if we can get over 2050 on the Naz.

mindmeld, CSCO is going to encounter resistance around $20 to $21. If this 'new found' exuberance in the market continues and Cisco mgmt. sees light at the end of the tunnel, then I'll say CSCO has a good chance to get up around $23 (Note this is just a WAG :^). Having said that, I also think we could see a correction and CSCO will trade down to the teens again. Everyone seems to be looking for a recovery in economic conditions in the second half of '02, so if that gets pushed out even further then all bets are off.

Hi Mindmeld

It looks like the run from the end of September is over and I would expect a fall back in the markets from here for a little while. Not very much for Cisco since it is down from it's recent highs. I like what is going on in China even though their economy is slowing down a little from it's torrid pace earlier last year. IT spending is going to continue to ramp up there, especially in IP spending. Cisco looks like it will have some good news from there.

The chip glut is over in most sectors. I was talking to a good friend of mine who buys a lot of chips of many different flavors for his company and he is starting to see lead times increasing.

Now that Cisco has worked down it's inventory I'm looking for an interesting CC come Feb. We are turning the corner nicely here.

However things are slowing down here in Washington state. I'm just glad I'm not a Boeing employee.

Eric
