Actually the central point is that valuing life is a selective enterprise for liberals. Conservatives don't like the idea of civilian casualties, but understand that war is the imposition of the victor's will over the vanquished, and require only that the victor be right. For liberals, however, life is expendable at random, and in any quantity, in the pursuit of the "greater cause", which does not have to BE right (since right and wrong are "subjective"), only FEEL right for the moment. Civilization thus ends where American liberalism begins. You feel good thinking you are dancing to "a different drummer", but, in reality, you are being marched to the grave...
