Hmm, listening to the newsletter writers? Since I never paid much attention to them, I do not get much mail from them. I think there is someone named Mark Hulbert that rates them. Not many seem to be worth reading, much less paying to get the letters. My father in law, who seldom had more than $10K in the market, subscribed to several letters and was on many mailing lists and received many very important phone calls that could not be shared with me when I was answering the phone. I finally killed the calls by canceling the phone number but the news letter offers keep coming years later. Here is an example that I just opened this afternoon, it may have been here for a few weeks, since I throw the trash letters in a pile to look over later.

You a Supernet Millionare

All 6 detailed intelligence reports -my entire GIANTS of the NEW SUPERNET Portfolio -are yours FREE, just for accepting a risk- free trial to my SCIENTIFIC INVESTING monthly stock trading service. The portfolio offers great balance -companies like Williams and Enron with the safety of large market cap, plus the four other Supernet companies that offer the amazing growth potential of a new Microsoft or Yahoo.
My job is to help you build wealth faster by owning the hottest stocks on the market precisely, they're moving up the fastest. It took me five long years to develop and fine-tune the proprietary computer search engines, filters, and screens I use to identify the most profitable investments on the market -but it was worth it. For the past seven years, many of the world's largest institutions and super-rich private investors have made me almost revoltingly rich by purchasing my "buy," "hold," and "sell" signals each week.
Every single day, I use them to scan the entire market for the stocks and mutual funds with the greatest price momentum and the lowest risk.
Then, I simply get my clients into those stocks when the time is right ...and OUT when their most profitable moves are behind them.
Does this logical, simple, yet unique approach work? Judge for yourself: Since 1993, my recommendations have handed us a total return of more than 1,150% -turning every $25,000 invested into $314,250. My approach has trounced the S&P 500 by 5 to 1 and the Nasdaq by 2 112 to 1 for the past 7 years. My average annual compounded return of 40.1% -in good times and bad -means I can DOUBLE your wealth every 2 1/2 years. Even when the stock market was crashing in late 2000 and early 2001, my recommendations posted up to 228% gains.

Hope he is out of Enron. Needs a little more fine tuning perhaps?
