Natural gas prices fall

In other energy news, February natural gas fell by 19.7 cents to settle at $2.268 per million British
thermal units after the American Gas Association reported a decline in last week's inventories that
was below many expectations.

The AGA reported a 124 billion cubic foot decline in natural gas supplies for the week ended Dec. 28
to total inventories of 2.86 trillion cubic feet. Supplies are 39 percent above the year-ago level and at
87 percent of full capacity.

The market expected a decline of as much as 170 billion cubic feet, according to John Kilduff of
Fimat USA. A year ago, supplies fell by 209 billion cubic feet.
