Why are you picking on Israel, almost every country with a majority of Muslims has the lunar symbol (relic of antiquated paganism?) plastered over it. Switzerland, Norway, Sweden and few others have crosses all over their respective flags. I consider the Shield of David a "national" rather than religious symbol, the azure colors, yes, these are probably more so.
