The NYT has William Safire, the WSJ has Al Hunt. By your logic that makes the WSJ liberal. I always figured the Journal had Hunt for comic relief and the Times had Safire for the opposite reason.

Abe Rosenthal stated in the 1980's that unless the NYTimes was pulled toward the center it would end up on the fringe Left.

Rosenthal was removed and has been proven correct. The NYTimes is fringe Left.
