I used to have that disappearing window problem with an earlier version of Netscape. I don't think it happens anymore, but I try to avoid the conditions that might create it.. (running too much stuff). Sometimes I was able to get it fixed by right clicking the task bar icon and selecting "Move". I don't recall exactly what I did then, but I know at times it worked. I'm certain that what was happening was that the window was not only small, it was out of the display area.

I've also had windows that seemed to stay at max page when I hit the restore button to reduce them. In most cases one window was indeed full screen, but the other one could be reduced and moved if you grabbed the edges.
