If I can bypass all 4 of their lines, they have a problem. Their 4 lines don't pay off if they cannot exert pricing power. This conversation started with the assertion that bandwidth infrastructure expansion is not were it is at from an investment perspective -- I don't see any basis for chaning my view on that.

A interview on CNBC just referred to a NJ-based long distance telco which spent $5 billion to build out its network was recently sold for $35 million. The buyer will now probably make money based on its $35 million acquisition of this capacity. But you can be sure that nobody wants to step up to the plate and spend another $5 billion on further build-outs.
