"it is "better" to be sane than insane"

A lot depends on your definitions and perspectives. For 13 years I was a psychotherapist, and I still have some of that orientation. From that orientation I see "insanity"
(in forms such as catatonia, autism, hysterical delusion etc) as very heavy-duty versions of the self-contraction.

These are characterized by the person experiencing whatever they do, but feeling they have very little choice in what they experience. I find it hard to judge these states as particularly desirable, but of course I may not know what it is (of a learning kind) that might be achieved by such states, relative to the being's own accumulated experience.

Of course any value-judgment anybody puts on anything is an egoic activity.

To be in an LSD-induced "state" of feeling an egoless unity with all and everything is, from many conventional points of view an "insane" state. If it persisted in the midst of everyday life it would be (typically) close to impossible to function in a "normal" way.

So I can suggest that to live AS God in the midst of ordinary life is a most profound discipline. But having a Teacher who is in fact doing that is a source of considerable inspiration and instruction.

Namaste!

Jim

>>You've completely misinterpreted what I said because you've interpreted that it is "better" to be sane than insane. Rationality is what precisely characterizes the mind's limits. That is why mind/ego cannot encompass ultimate reality, because "reality" is not rational.>>

>>There cannot be any other way of understanding this. To each side the other side must, by definition, be totally irrationally and illogically insane.>>

We are free to chose to receive whichever side we want to manifest:

1) the filtered, refracted control and objectification of energy in the black hole matrix of conditions, definitions, limitations and constraints.

2) the free, unfiltered reception, realization and celebration of energy in the matrix of spiritual sun of His Love with ZERO/NO claims, conditions, definitions, limitations or constraints.

Unconditional truth is the only requirement for rationality.

We are all free to chose to receive and share this unconditional truth conditionally. I'm only sharing the idea I have recieved that receiving and sharing unconditional energy conditionally is irrational, illogical and insane.

I guess the heart of this is one's belief in FREEDOM and FREEWILL and the parodox of the unconditional nature of the energy, light and Love which supports everything.
