But I assure you that if Arafat does not rush to come to an understanding, an agreement that preclude the eradication of Israel (or an Islamic Palestine under an Islamic caliphate), Sharon will get his dream. Funny you should mention that. I just read a column in Israel National News from a right-winger who explained that it's no use to speak of compromise to someone with the Arab mentality; if you offer to give up any piece of the land, that only proves to them that you never had any right to any of it in the first place. That's a grim premise, but I must say that Arafat is doing his level best to prove it to all of Israel.
