joe b.

had time this weekend to right the computer. once i was able to save the files i wanted from the crippled drive, it was easy enough to reinstall w2k on both drives. it was particularly easy as i used partition magic 7.0 to format the drives and convert them to fat32, as i had decided against ntfs. what was very cool about pm 7.0 was that it allowed me to convert the files on the crippled drive from ntfs to fat32. i then copied them with norton ghost onto the working drive. from there i was able to copy them to floppies. after i did clean reinstalls on both drives, i could then copy the files and my important work was saved.

once again i have a very solid computer and, in the process of getting there, i have learned a lot about w2k and how to recover from crashes.
