The only reason I listen to analysts anymore is because most people (surprisingly) still do.

Maybe the people still listening to analysts are all traders who are listening only because they assume others are still listening. How does the cycle get broken?

Yes that and hypothetical earnings. And hypothetical concept scams like Enron have hypothetical balance sheets.
We even have some sort of a hypothetical sheriff, the SEC scam, policing the mess.

The Enron debacle shows a serious lack of transparancy in this market, something you usually associate with stock markets in the developing parts of the world.

Who knows; maybe this year investors will flee this fraud ridden mess for the "safety" of BanglaDesh and Colombia.

The lesser evil...
