SAN JOSE, Calif., January 3, 2002 — Principals from leading market research firms will present their 2002 outlook for the semiconductor equipment and materials industry during SEMI's Annual Industry Strategy Symposium (ISS), Monday, Jan. 7, 2002, 12:30 p.m. PT (3:30 p.m. EST) .

This forecast is being webcast by CCBN and can be accessed at SEMI's web site, www.semi.org or www.companyboardroom.com. Following the presentations, questions will be accepted via email.
