Earlie,

From a micro perspective -- last night when I was standing in the line (wasn't a long wait -- 1 person in front of me) at BBY to fill out a credit app for the 18 months no interest 'purchase' of a washer, I thought -- 'why not just get a few more things while I'm in here?'

It's not as though I can't afford to pay cash, but the time value of money argument -- get it now -- pay back in cheaper dollars -- but the thing that stops me in that line of thinking is price -- what is going to happen to the price of these goods?

I know that many others -- their thought processes stop at the pt of no debt service for months and they just go ahead. You can see this everywhere. It's the other guy who is going to lose his job.

With all this demand brought forward, the price of these items will have to drop in the near term ...

If we do get a bout of stagflation -- not sure if that happens -- I think it is the price of groceries that will go up, not household goods or even the houses themselves.

No way Mr. E

we gonna have pro forma top line revnue numbers only qualified by a number of small print safe harbor clauses

the good news is: there won't be any other numbers at all.

just the pro forma top line and Larry Kudlow doing a bi-commentary on CNBC and the McSomething Report roundtable...

nexxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxt topic!
