The inappropriately named Hostage Rescue Team isn't comprised of the well groomed Ivy Leaguers we usually associate with the FBI. They are hard core paramilitary guys. If you take the time to watch McNulty's documentary, you'll see an interview with a member of the HRT who brags that he is "honed to kill." The Davidians were seen as the enemy, period.
