Kavika, Each scan appears to have a season...lately the RSI Based scan appears to be in season. However, market conditions tend to dominate. Lately, I have been doing my final evaluation by eyeballing the 3drsi....looking for triangles...and breakout to the upside. Someday chicken and someday feathers..as the coyote said. wart

Kavika, Another way to use the scan results is to recognize those that hit repeatedly over time...say 2 months or so. Even though ya can't buy 'em all a "usual suspects" list can come in very handy at times after a market pullback if you do happen to have some cash to put to work. From today's list I recognize quite a few usual suspects. For example, ACXM hit 8/15, 8/24 and 11/5 prior to today. Just offhand I also recognize CPWR, GYMB, PRGS, SKYW, ISSI, APPB, CTIC and SYKE as usual suspects. In time a list of usual suspects becomes a very good pool of quality stocks to pay attention to. Kavika, Another way I attempt to define or rank the scan list is to compare them with the major indices, and then attempt to score them. %G Today = percentage gain from the open on Friday to the close. Bg = Best Gain = percentage gain from the open to the high of the day. I have been using a scoring system based on the following: Score = +2 if the bg > 2 Score = %G today if the bg < 2 (This is based on the belief that a 2 percent gain is a good trade and that if it isn’t made…then the end of day result is what you get) The indices are included…because the scan should do better or it is time to try another approach.
