The trusts are a good way to play the commodity, if you believe the price of NG is going up. Buying NG futures or NG properties direct is usually a better way to go.

The only way to evaluate a trust is to do a complete evaluation on the reserve report to see how much you are paying for the under lying properties. On the few I've tried this on, the price was a lot higher than you could buy similar properties at auction.

You're buying a depleting asset and paying a lot of the management of those assets as they deplete.
