Curiousity drove me to do a little back testing on a simple up-flat-? pattern

I looked at 14 different sectors for the last year and a half (chosen for no reason other than this was the data I had on hand).

Results:

16 occurrences of up-flat
5 times it went up on day 3
11 times it went down on day 3
average loss on the third day was 1.6%

I'd like a few more than 16 trials and the results could be biased do to the bear market that dominated the time frame I used, but I still found the results kind of interesting...
