Mary, RE: I have never had a computer where I didn't need, or want, an upgrade within 2 or 3 years. I do not know of anyone who uses a computer (for a decade or more) who have ever been satisfied with the performance of their computer - over time.

I have never needed or wanted an upgrade. I have always been forced to upgrade because my software vendors stopped supporting old platforms.

Granted, I would have eventually needed an upgrade. My original Tandy TRS-80 wouldn't suffice nowadays, for sure. But I have never gotten to that point.
