My personal view is that either Jesus wasn't the New Ager that some would make him to be or else the "real" Jesus who taught this Gospel not to be found in scripture has been lost to history. Which is it?>> There's nothing to "force-fit." For there's nothing to "claim." Now if, on the other hand, one is trying to "appropriate, cliaim or force-fit" Jesus then the conditional Black Hole matrix is operational. If you read scripture from a conditional/literal perspective then Jesus's New message of Love doesn't shine through. Emanuel Swedenborg was commissioned directly from our one Lord God in Heaven Jesus Christ and was "caused to write" what he wrote in fullfillment of scripture which called for the unlocking of the true deeper and many layered meaning behind scripture. Hundreds of individuals have received these works and have been "caused to write" and expand this New Thought. Swedenborg in no way shape or form deviated from the core essence behind this message: ONE God who is our One Lord God in Heaven Jesus Christ. Traditional Christianity has indeed appropriated the position claming to mediate for the position of Jesus. This is direct opposition to the Gospel which does not call for the claims and conditions of representative mediation. Jesus our ONE Lord God in Heaven IS that ONE God, Father who is the mediator and savior in ONE package. As Swedenborg goes into great detail reviewing, the Judaic representative church ended when the work of our Lord was over. The Heavens were once again opened up to the direct, unmediated influence of the Lord Himself in our daily lives. But for this to happen the FREE conduit for His energy, light and Love had to be presented, opened and offered up as a sacrifice before the seed of this revolution could implant itself into the conditional physical, social and religious realm of mankind. The Bahai faith is another extension to these same ONE universal energies as they were presented to the east. You can read about The Babi Religion, the forrunner to the Baha'i Faith and Bahau'lla who founded the religion. There's tremendous amount of documentation on the Baha'is. As for Swedenborg, his spiritual and theological writtings where well ahead of his time and they speak of this New Jerusalem that's "His Second Coming" which has been unfolding steadily ever since. 119293!!
